Hand Dyed Yarn with NATURAL ingredients using SHIBORI Techiniques
Using the Japanese technique of Shibori dyeing has allowed us to create stunning colour patterns in each skein. As with all our Natural Colour Dyes we start with our Romney yarn, grown on the hills of Rewa Rewa Station, then dye it in our on-farm Crafting Studio using naturally produced colours from nature.
We are always amazed by the range of colours that nature can provide! Using natural colours, and methods we create scrummy naturally dyed skeins of our Rewa Rewa Station Romney Hogget DK commercially spun yarn.
Please be aware we cannot produce exact colour replications, even within a single batch there will be slight variations. We do however endeavour to supply you with as close a match as we can!
How to care for your beautiful naturally dyed fibre….
- Wash in a PH neutral detergent
- Wash & rinse in cold water
- Colours may leach or bleed initially, especially the darker shades
- Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight
- Colours may mellow over time….this is a natural ageing process
