Polwarth Wool
The Polwarth was developed in Victoria Australia in 1880 by using a Lincon cross Merino ewe and breeding back to a Merino ram. It first arrived in New Zealand in 1932.
The Polwarth produce a fine soft handling wool between 22 and 26 microns with a staple length between 75 and 120 cm.
