Highland Cattle – Gallery
The fold was established soon after we came to New Zealand in 2011. I had previously had a small fold of highland cattle when we farmed in England. Our farm ran about 150 Hereford Cross Fresian cattle (about the same number as we have Angus now). I have kept highland for probably 20 years in England, really as a hobby as they made a change from looking at black and white cows. I never had time to show cattle (and still don’t) although that is not to say that I don’t have an eye for quality. About two years ago we bought a portion of Strathnairn fold including their senior stock bull.
